Celebrating Authors

Inspiring Authors

An author is somebody who creates written works in the form of a book, article and many other written formats. Authors are famous around the world for their commentary on people and the way society functions. A good author can offer a window into any time period they write about giving insight into the daily lives of people and how the society at that time functions. Many great literary works are commentaries on the clash of society with various issues.
Certain authors may choose to write about philosophy, sociology, psychology and even law. These authors combine their own view of the world into artistic pieces of writing that live long after they have passed from this world. The compilation of mere words into a written form is not a talent everyone possesses and great authors have the unique skill of writing their thoughts on paper and bringing their perception and imagination to life.
A great author can bring an entire society to its knees simply by making proper and articulate commentaries on various points. After all the pen is mightier than the sword.

Andrew Segal

Three little piggies going to market each,
Changed their minds, went down to the beach.

A great big rock then cracked each head,
And, left the three of them, all stone dead.   R.A.

Three found dead, throwing a quiet seaside town into turmoil.
The shoreline was deserted apart from the four individuals cavorting close to the water’s edge.   A single gull wheeled overhead screaming out what might have been a warning, had anyone understood, or been prepared to listen. Offshore the swell rose and fell ominously, a restless movement like the bulk of a heaving whale, as it too whispered a plea for mercy.

"Last week I took a short break and I packed your book. I had plenty of reading time, but frankly I did not need it, as once I had an uninterrupted session I quickly got into this riveting story. What a good read." -Brendan Roodt
