Climbs
There are many high skyscrapers in the world. The tallest are even higher than clouds, as they reach thousands of feet in the air. Most of these buildings have an observation deck, making them perfectly safe to travel up, to see the most breath-taking views. However, for some this just is not enough, there are infamous daredevil that get a major thrill out of climbing the tallest buildings, to get an experience of a lifetime…
The Shard Climb-
Cassonline a famous YouTuber, known for being a daredevil and filming terrifying videos of himself climbing. In 2017, Cassonline posted footage of himself climbing and hanging off the top of The Shard, London.
So how did he do it? He entered through the observation deck, which has open sections where he was able to climb outside and access the staircase to begin his climb. When he reached the final floor, he didn’t give up there, he went ahead and climbed the steel beams to reach the top of the building.
Cassonline described it as an’’ insane mission!’’
Burj Khalifa Climb-
Alan Robert, often known as the French daredevil/Spiderman climbed up
Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building 2,717ft, which is located in Dubai.
Robert made the climb look easy, yet he had experienced cramps in his legs, that nearly led him in to danger.
Robert reached his goal of completing his climb in six hours, 14 minutes and 55 seconds whilst a large crowd of people watched him. Robert also broke the world record of nine-hours and became the fasted to climb the Burj Khalifa. After achieving his goal, it was not completely shocking that he decided to take the lift down!

Shanghai Tower Climb-
A Perpetrator climb!!
Two Russian male daredevils broke in to the world’s second tallest building, Shanghai Tower, to climb it whilst it was still under construction. They waited until late at night, when the site was closed to do so.
They shared an incredible YouTube clip of the Shanghai Tower from the outside above the clouds, and clips of them both walking along a ledge!
The duo even slept in the building, as the footage showed clips of the following day, with them also climbing in the daylight!

A day to remember high above London
“The skywalk that soars over the city traffic,
as we float with stars
inside the blue immensities of a low-lying sky
to pause and rest awhile"
Skywalk - Poem by Saroj K Padhi
No one can talk about London without mentioning the Shard, which has become one of London's famous landmarks. Like a shard of glass,
"Eight sloping glass facades, the "shards", define the shape and visual quality of the tower, fragmenting the scale of the building and reflecting the light in unpredictable ways" says Barbara Varinia Galene

The History Of The Shard
As far as the history of the Shard is concerned, it was a project that came as an inspirational idea to Irvine Sellar. Sellar, the owner of the Shard, met with Renzo Piano in 1998. Renzo Piano is a famous architect who has also built other grand buildings such as the Whitney Museum in New York and Centre Georges Pompidou.
As a result of the meeting, Piano suggested that the Shard be built in the pyramid shape which was accepted by Irvine Sellar as a wonderful idea. However, since this building was going to be a huge and expensive project, it took almost two decades to bring it into existence. After facing many financial crisis, investment risks and problems, the Shard finally came into being on 2012 with help of the Prime Minister of Qatar.

The Shard is not just a building, it captures the essence of London a ‘vertical city’ which is situated in the middle of London. What completes the aesthetically pleasing appearance of the Shard is that it overlooks the river Thames which certainly adds attraction to it.

“I love not man the less, but Nature more.”

Have you ever visited the beautiful art deco
CHRYSLER BUILDING in NEW YORK CITY?
A mere 11 months after it gained the title of tallest building in the world in 1930—thanks to the last minute addition of a 186-foot spire—this art deco wonder surrendered its title to the Empire State Building. But it has long been known as one of the world’s prettiest structures. When automobile tycoon Walter P. Chrysler took over financing, he strove to add glamour to New York’s East Side. The design already featured a multi-story section of glass corners and a stainless steel crown, but he requested the addition of eagle-esque gargoyles designed like the hood ornaments on his cars.
How about the extraordinary fanlike torch of
HOTEL & CASINO GRAND LISBOA in MACAU, CHINA
When crafting this 58-floor hotel and casino, the Hong Kong architects didn’t take any chances. The $385 million structure, which opened in 2008, was built to resemble a bottleneck—the idea being that it would keep any cash from leaking out, according to feng shui. The outlandish exterior, meanwhile, was intended to look like a combination of crystals, fireworks and the plumes of a Brazilian headdress—all thought to symbolise prosperity.
